Responsible for analyzing and designing sequence of operations and workflow processes to improve efficiencies in facilities and equipment layouts. Expected to establish methods for maximizing utilization of production facilities and personnel as well as optimization of product flow. Must be able to lead new work introduction and improvement projects in addition to developing, advocating, and enabling the tools and methodologies to drive process capabilities and overall improvements. Expected to perform as a Lead Practitioner by leading and supporting continuous improvement projects throughout the manufacturing process while reducing costs utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Must be able to evaluate improvement needs and create value analysis. Responsible for educating and training individuals at all levels of the organization Lean principles and other processes which result in increasing or enhancing operating standards, work flow, productivity, and safety. Must be well organized, have strong problem solving and analytical skills, be self-driven, good negotiation and conflict management skills, and strong oral and written communication skills. Expected to be able to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently. Must have a strong drive toward achieving operational excellence.
Position Requirements: BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline. Three (3) to eight (8) years of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt experience. Lean Six Sigma Belt Certification (preferred). Aerospace assembly process planning and tooling experience.
Responsible for evaluating customer engineering to create models and NC programs using Mastercam software to produce quality product at nominal dimensions made of various materials. Must be able to provide adequate information to aid in production including setup sheets, fixturing, tooling, and NC code files. Responsible for providing additional assistance to the production floor and inspection when needed for clarification and/or trouble shooting. Programmers are expected to strive to produce the highest quality product through the manufacturing process efficiently with minimal variation. Required to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal customers at all levels of the organization. Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as well as experience with 3, 4 and 5-axis programming.
Support the company’s objectives with regards to the estimating processes. Expected to prepare customer requests for formal estimation/quoting in a clear and concise language to include engineering data, material and outside processing that can be used both by manufacturing personnel for production and outside processors. Must be able to analyze pricing received and determine best options for the organization. Expected to coordinate and collaborate with production and all other applicable departments to quote costs. Must be able to respond to internal and external customer inquiries while maintaining efficiency and a high level of quality service.
Programmer (Harper, KS location)
Responsible for evaluating customer engineering to create models and NC programs using Mastercam software to produce quality product at nominal dimensions made of various materials. Must be able to provide adequate information to end users to aid in production creating minimal scrap and production issues. Responsible for programming and/or manufacturing tooling for CNC mill and other fixtures needed to support sheet metal facility. Due to occasional business need may also be required to program and run production parts, especially in relation to R&D. Must have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels in the organization. Experience in a variety of programming, tool building, and machining will be advantageous but not required. Must have experience with working in and with the development of programs and tooling .
Quality Assurance Inspector
Responsible for performing day to day first part and lot inspection of product. Expected to utilize inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, plug, thread gauges, digital comparator, FARO/ROMER Arm utilizing Verisurf software, etc. to perform these inspection duties. Must be able to read customer engineering (drawings, part lists OPSS etc.) and work orders to determine requirements. Inspectors complete First Article Inspection Report and support production personnel with inspection issues as well as other administrative support tasks. Must be able to support Quality and Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics, and customer engineering. Required to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
Information Technology Technician
Information Technology Technician will provide hardware, software and networking support to the organization. Expected to be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with varying levels of involvement from management. Must be able to interact with users at all levels, possess strong time management and organizational skills. Should be familiar with computer construction/configuration/troubleshooting/repair, software installation/configuration/troubleshooting especially Windows 10, and network cabling/installation/troubleshooting. Experience with Linux and general scripting such as Powershell and PHP considered a plus. Prefer a minimum of one year of experience with active directory, server administration, VMware (or general virtualization) and network switch configuration.
